About the Item

Make a grand entrance with this opulent vintage console table, attributed to the Zimmerman foundry. A masterpiece of Hollywood Regency and Neoclassical revival design, this piece features a heavy cast metal frame finished in a brilliant antique gold. The apron is lavishly adorned with high-relief floral rosettes and a central heraldic shield, flanked by dramatic winged griffins or dragons holding rings in their mouths. The sinuous cabriole legs curve elegantly down to hoof feet, connected by a pierced decorative stretcher shelf, showcasing the intricate casting quality synonymous with high-end ornamental ironwork. Topped with a slab of polished black marble with striking white veining, this console offers a sophisticated surface for display. Measuring 32.25 inches wide, 13.25 inches deep, and 35.25 inches tall, its slender profile makes it an exceptional choice for a narrow foyer, a hallway, or as a decadent accent in a powder room. The piece is in great vintage condition, with the gilt finish showing a desirable aged patina that highlights the relief details. Add this sculptural, architectural treasure to your home for an instant infusion of grandeur and history.
