About the Item

An elegant mid-century modern sideboard designed by William Watting for Fristho in the Netherlands during the 1950s. The long, beautifully proportioned cabinet combines warm walnut with contrasting raffia-fronted sliding doors and slender brass legs. The circular recessed handles and softly rounded details give the piece a refined and distinctive character, while the rich walnut grain and natural patina add warmth and depth. About the Designer William Watting was a Danish-born designer who worked extensively in the Netherlands and became known for his refined mid-century furniture. His designs combine Scandinavian modernism with the craftsmanship and character of Dutch furniture production. Condition Great condition, with minimal signs of wear consistent with age and use. The walnut has developed a beautiful natural patina.
