About the Item

Handsome 19th century French three-drawer commode, dresser or chest of drawers featuring richly figured book matched wood walnut drawer fronts with striking symmetrical grain. The dovetailed drawers are fitted with brass lion-head ring pulls and decorative escutcheons, while rounded columns flank the case and continue to squared feet. A warm patina highlights the striking drawer fronts and clean proportions of this versatile French chest.
