The chair is richly detailed throughout, with a fully carved exterior featuring mythical beast or lion-form terminals, scale-like carving, rosettes, foliate motifs, and claw-form feet. The sweeping barrel back creates an enveloping profile, while the dark wood finish highlights the depth and complexity of the carving. The removable seat cushion has been newly upholstered in a neutral patterned fabric, providing a clean contrast to the richly carved frame.
