About the Item

Please Don't Tell Mom mirror 1 by Marc Dibeh 2015 Materials: American Walnut, Polished Stainless Steel, Rose Gold Finish Dimensions: W48 x H66 x D4 cm This happy accident, caused by coincidently breaking a mirror during an experiment, lead to create the series titled ‘Please Don’t Tell Mom’. Consisting of five mirrors, broken accordingly and elevated by angles to form a 3D shape, explains the meaning behind the title of the series. The intention is for the viewer to have broken and distorted reflections, or more so, reflections of several angles. Beirut based designer Marc Dibeh narrates his cultural environment through compelling interiors and products. His studio’s philosophy revolves around storytelling and how to make things timeless and simple. Dibeh’s universe is not far from planet earth but has the power to make you forget you’re in it. His methods are based on wit or sharpness of ideas. Sometimes both. Since the beginning of his career in 2009, Dibeh has been commissioned by Galleries all over the globe. The most recent being Gallerie Bensimon (Paris), Seeds Gallery (London), Artfactum (Beirut) and Joy Mardini (Beirut).
