About the Item

Introducing a captivating mid-19th century gesso wooden gilded wall mirror of exquisite French origin. This timeless piece exudes elegance with its intricate craftsmanship and historical significance. The mirror's inner layer, once graced by sumptuous velvet, now showcases the rich brown under mesh fabric that has gracefully weathered the test of time. While the velvet's original charm has faded with age and use, the underlying mesh fabric still radiates a unique allure, preserving the mirror's authenticity and historical character. The mirror itself features stunning beveled glass, adding a touch of opulence to any space. Although the back frame exhibits slight peeling, a testament to its age, rest assured that the mirror remains structurally sound and sturdy, ready to grace your interiors with its timeless beauty. This mirror is an ideal choice for spaces adorned with bronze or brass accents, making it a truly exquisite addition to your decor. Embrace history and style with this remarkable French gilded wall mirror.
