About the Item

Thanks to our customer who asked for a double articulated sconce. He had the need to brighten an area with low celing and had only one outlet. The design came so nice that it is no part of the collection. Double shades are helping with the light distribution in the room. Upper shades are giving ambiance light and lower shades for the direct light. Ideal over a kitchen counter or an island. Where there is a shelf to overide with the sconce. For corner sofas. Wide corridors and stairs. Important: Price is for the unit (one sconce with two arms and 4-light) not for the pair. Each arm has three moving joints. The middle one and the backplate one are dented joints with key, for changing position every once in a while. Third is the head joint that gives to the shade the possibility to turn in all directions 360 and change the angle with a maximum of 30 degrees in and out. Important about the angle. Arms are preset to spread on an angle of 30 degrees. Arms coming loose to be tightened to the backplate so there you can change the angle. The elbow joint is fixed. If I made them 90 degrees the will not spread out. If you want to play with the angles and your electrician is fine I can send the joints without thread locker (which you would have to apply once found the spreading angle you like). Colors of shades available are sage, ivory and matte black. The two shades can be made in different colors. See other chandeliers in my storefront for matching possibilities. Other colors are available: Red, yellow and blue to meet the mid-century primary colors look. One of the picture shows the red version next to the black. Natural solid patina brass. Aluminum shades lacquered. For US and Canadian customers: These sconces are made to cover octagonal standard J-box and have correct mounting holes for the standard crossbar. Two arms are 30 and 40 cm (12 and 16 inches). Measure of the sconce varies depending on the angle. The one listed is as in the featured picture. Shades are 22 cm in height and 11.5 cm in diameter. (about 8 1/2 height and 4 1/2 diameter) Important: A person familiar with the construction and operation of the product must install this fixture. This sconce is current production made to order. Please write me for any special size requirement. The outline of the shades was designed to summarize and recreate the 1950s chandelier from Arteluce and Stilnovo but it does not belong to either and it is an original design. Being the heads pivoting, measures indicated in the pictured position. Inquiry for schematic.
