About the Item

An expressive Italian mid-century modern semi-flush mount ceiling fixture, equally suited for installation as a sculptural wall sconce, dating from the 1960s–1970s. The lamp features a conical spun-metal canopy finished in bold, matte red lacquer. Arranged symmetrically around the dome are five sockets, each enclosed by an open-slotted white metal basket diffuser. When illuminated, these slatted diffusers cast a dramatic, radiating sunburst pattern across the ceiling or wall surface while shielding direct glare. With its compact proportions, this fixture is an ideal lighting accent for entryways, hallways, bedrooms, or powder rooms with standard ceiling heights.
