About the Item

We are pleased to offer for sale an elegant and highly decorative mid-20th-century modern dessert flatware set. Made in Italy between the 1960s and 1970s by La San Marco—as confirmed by the engraving on each piece—this vintage set is crafted from silver-plated steel and features faux bamboo handles. The design playfully draws inspiration from the Chinese Chippendale style, reinterpreting the classic bamboo motif—so iconic in Oriental decorative arts—through the refined use of silver-plated steel. This complete flatware service for six includes 20 pieces, thoughtfully arranged as follows: 6 dessert or fruit forks 6 dessert knives 6 dessert spoons 1 cake server 1 large dessert spoon Perfect for setting a sophisticated breakfast table or creating a more eclectic dining experience by mixing patterns, linens, and glassware, this set beautifully balances elegance and whimsy—making it ideal for both formal and informal occasions. The flatware is in good vintage condition, showing only minimal signs of age and use, as shown in the photos. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
