About the Item

A charming antique copper fish kettle of compact proportions, traditionally made for poaching smaller fish and fitted with its original removable drainer insert. Constructed in heavy-gauge copper with a hand-finished rolled rim, the kettle is fitted with brass swing handles to either end, providing both practicality and decorative appeal. The interior retains its original tin lining, showing honest wear consistent with age and use, while the exterior copper has been polished to a rich warm glow. Accompanied by the original perforated drainer tray.
