About the Item

A matched pair of luxury English leather-wrapped glass spirit flasks by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, England. Crafted with contoured glass bodies, each flask is encased in fine tan pigskin leather featuring dual blind-tooled tramline borders and a central vertical sight window cut into both sides to monitor liquid levels. The flasks are crowned with heavy silver-plated bayonet twist caps, stamped with the iconic James Dixon & Sons trumpet logo and maker's initials. Designed as bespoke automotive accessories, this pair was engineered to fit the dedicated bar compartments, door caddies, and rear picnic table fittings of late 1980s Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit / Silver Spur and Bentley Mulsanne / Eight models (circa 1987–1991). Overall very good to excellent vintage condition. Both glass bodies are intact with clean interiors and smooth-operating silver-plated caps. The leather wrapping remains structurally sound with tight stitching throughout; one flask exhibits slightly more character wear and surface patina to the leather finish than the other, as expected with authentic, age-appropriate automotive use.
