About the Item

A charming trio of avian-themed candlestick holders capturing the essence of Scandinavian organic design. Heavily inspired by the iconic mid-century modern wooden bird figurines of Danish designer Jacob Hermann, each piece features a beautifully stylized, hand-scalloped bird form. All three pieces are in very good vintage condition with no scratches or chips, and all measure approximately 4" H x 7" L x 2" D. Candlestick holder is .25" in diameter. #9117 The bodies are carved from richly grained hardwood, displaying warm amber tones and a smooth satin finish. Each stylized bird is poised elegantly on a sleek tripod brass foot structure, with a matching single brass taper candle nozzle integrated seamlessly into its back. The brass elements exhibit a genuine vintage patina with minor surface oxidation, particularly around the candle nozzles, which adds to their mid-century character. The varying positions of the heads and subtle grain differences give each figure a unique personality. This collection offers a striking sculptural presence for any mantelpiece, sideboard, or dining table configuration, whether holding slender tapers or standing alone as decorative objects.
