Romantic hand painted Dieppe bovine bone floral snuff box - featuring a colorful display of flowers set against a solid brown background - the sides decorated with garlands and blue ribbons - unsigned - France - early 19th century. Excellent antique condition - minor rim crack (stable) - painted areas re-varnished at some point - scratches to the glass mirror - no loss - no damage - signs of age and use. Size/Dimensions - Small - 2 5/16" Diameter x 5/8" High.
