About the Item

A substantial, jumbo size, hand‑crafted malachite box made from genuine stone, prized for its extra‑large size, measuring an impressive 8 inches by 6 inches—a rare scale for malachite boxes (please see video). The grand proportions give the box a strong sculptural presence and allow the natural patterning to unfold. The box showcases dramatic patterning with bold concentric “eyes,” sweeping curves, stacked crescents, overlapping ovals and layered banding in vivid emerald and deep forest‑green tones. Meticulously hand‑made, with tight, clean edges and a well‑fitted lid that speaks to skilled lapidary craftsmanship. Each surface presents a different expression of the mineral’s natural geometry, unified by a high, even polish. Its substantial weight and cool, polished surface further emphasize the luxury of the material. This is a very rare, huge box. Ideal as a statement piece on a desk, console, or within a curated mineral collection, this oversized malachite box offers both functional storage and exceptional decorative impact.
