Study of Giovanni Bellini's "Portrait of a Young Man in Red" This is a faithful study of "Portrait of a Young Man in Red," a celebrated oil-on-panel painting by Italian Renaissance master Giovanni Bellini. The painting features an unidentified clean-shaven young man wearing a crimson-red garment and a cap, set against a cloudy, tenebrous sky. Bellini employs a three-quarter view, placing the figure behind a Flemish-style parapet. The piece showcases the influence of Flemish art and the technical mastery of the Venetian. Painted circa 1485–1490, the original currently hangs in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Oil on masonite Unsigned Unframed Condition: Very good Size: 13"H x 10"W
