Oksana Reva is a Ukrainian artist working in the multilayered painting technique. Her works create a space for meditative immersion, exploring the interaction between color, form, and the viewer’s inner world. For Reva, a painting is not simply the capture of a moment, but a process that unfolds organically — an impulse that drives the work forward, guided by memory, intuition, and emotional resonance. Central themes expand or contract, allowing forms and colors to emerge and fade, creating a sense of amorphous, emotionally rich space. Compositional elements — lines, fields of color, and soft blocks of light — arise from the painting process itself and gradually transform, like a living landscape of inner experience. Reva’s work engages the viewer in a dialogue between presence and absence, reality and abstraction. Space and light become central motifs, while the painting becomes a portal for exploring internal states. Her practice emphasizes the transformative power of art — not as a representation of the external world, but as a reflection of inner movement and silence. Each work invites the viewer into a contemplative state, where perception slows down and the boundaries between materiality and imagination blur. Through this subtle balance, Reva creates a visual language that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
